Cambridge - I made it!

Written from the single bed in my Newnham College dorm room at the University of Cambridge…

I’m here. Truly here. Living the student life again, but in a different country and a different field of study — a dream I’ve held onto for years.

Last night, before I arrived, unexpected emotions came up. I wondered how I’d fit in. Would I find common ground with others? Would I be seen for who I am, not just for what I look like?

But those fears quickly faded away. The people I’ve met are friendly, open, and curious. There’s a calm sense of connection, a feeling that we’re all here to grow, learn, and share.

Tomorrow, classes start — and I’m prepared. Prepared to learn. Prepared to listen. Prepared to fully embrace this next chapter.
