Honourable Mention – Hay House US Authorpreneur Contest

I am honoured to share that my manuscript proposal for Roots of Silence has received an Honourable Mention in the Hay House US Authorpreneur Contest.

For those unfamiliar, Hay House is a global leader in publishing books on personal growth, spirituality, and transformation—home to authors like Louise Hay, Dr Wayne Dyer, and Anita Moorjani. Having Roots of Silence recognised in this context feels both humbling and affirming.

The Journey Behind the Story

Roots of Silence began as a way to explore how trauma, silence, and spirit intersect within families and communities. Over years of writing, reflection, and research, it evolved into a multi-generational story that blends psychological insight, historical fiction, and visionary storytelling.

Set between 1968 and 1973, the novel follows the lives of women and men bound by hidden wounds, resilience, and the quiet power of love. It asks what happens to a person—and a community—when pain is buried for too long, and how reconnection to spirit, land, and truth can bring healing across generations.

To have this work acknowledged by Hay House is an incredible milestone. It reminds me that the stories we are called to tell have their own life, their own timing, and their own way of finding their audience.

A heartfelt congratulations to Catherine Andrews, the winner of the contest, whose work was selected as the top submission. I also extend deep admiration to the other recipients of Honourable Mentions.

What This Recognition Means

For me, this recognition is more than a professional milestone—it’s a signpost on a much larger journey. Roots of Silence is not just a novel; it is part of a wider creative and spiritual project that seeks to bridge health, spirit, and storytelling. Through my company, SpiritED, I aim to develop study guides, workshops, and media that help people heal through narrative, reflection, and connection.

This Honourable Mention reaffirms the importance of that vision—to keep walking the path of courage, authenticity, and service through story.

The Next Chapter

As I move forward, my goal is to bring Roots of Silence to publication and into the hands of readers who are ready to engage with its themes of resilience, forgiveness, and spiritual renewal. I’ll continue refining the manuscript, preparing proposals, and exploring the best path to share it widely—whether through traditional publishing, hybrid partnership, or independent release.

For those who have been following my journey, thank you for your encouragement and belief. For new readers discovering my work through this announcement—welcome. This story, and the movement around it, exists to remind us that healing begins the moment silence is broken.
